Teen Stabbed to Death

Los Angeles: Police arrested a 17-year-old gang member for the stabbing death of a Los Angeles teenager.

On October 23, 2007, shortly after 6:30 p.m., a citizen flagged down police and reported that several men were fighting at the intersection of Van Ness Street and Santa Monica Boulevard.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they found Jonathan Alfred Morales, 17, suffering from a life-threatening stab wound. Morales was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he died an hour later.

Two gang members walked up to Morales and stabbed him, police said.

Police are still looking for the second suspect described only as Latino.
