Motorist and Pedestrian Die in Collision Los Angeles: A Winnetka teenager and the driver who caused a three car accident was killed yesterday afternoon in Woodland Hills. At about 5:00 p.m., a 2005 Kia Rio was being driven west on Ventura Boulevard, near Kelvin Avenue, when it struck 15-year-old, Patrick DeMesa inside the crosswalk. The Kia continued out of control and collided with a 1998 Buick Century traveling south on Kelvin Avenue. The impact of the collision caused the Buick to crash into a 2008 Lexus ES350 traveling east on Ventura Blvd. The teenager died at the scene. He was resident of Winnetka and a student at El Camino Real High School. The female driver of the Kia was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries. She be will designated as Jane Doe pending identification. The other involved parties received only minor injuries.
