Hit and Run Driver Kills 45-Year-Old Man in Rampart Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a hit and run driver who killed a 49-year-old man yesterday evening in Los Angeles. At about 8:20 p.m., a man was standing in the alley near 6th and Grand View Streets when he was struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle that was traveling west in the alley. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the accident without identifying himself or rendering aid to the victim. The victim suffered severe injuries to his chest and died at the scene. The name of the deceased victim will be withheld until a family member has been notified. Investigation have very few leads and there are no description of the suspect vehicle or the driver. Anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact Central Traffic Division, Detective Michael Kaden at 213-972-1853.
