One Dead in Arleta Shooting NR17189im

UPDATE

The Los Angeles Police Department Operations-Valley Bureau Homicide
have announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the
identity, arrest, and prosecution of the person or person
responsible for the murder of 28-year-old Angel Maciel, that
occurred on October 29, 2017 in the 9900 block of Stanwin
Avenue.

Arleta: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley
Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in
identifying the suspect’s responsible for the death of a man.

On October 29, 2017, around 3:40 p.m., Mission Area patrol officers
responded to a radio call of an “assault with a deadly weapon,
shots fired”, in the 9900 block of Stanwin Avenue. When officers
arrived, they found a male adult suffering from gunshot
wounds.

The investigation revealed that the victim was riding his
skateboard when a vehicle pulled alongside of him and unknown
suspect(s) fired multiple rounds. The victim was struck by gunfire
and the suspect(s) fled the scene.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and
transported the victim to a local hospital where he died from his
injuries.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification to the
next of kin.
