Man Murdered Walking in the Crosswalk NR12043lp Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Operations West Bureau Homicide (LAPD OWB) detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect (s) who killed an unknown male Hispanic victim on Council Street and Beverly Boulevard. On January 24, 2012, at 3:15 p.m., the victim was crossing the crosswalk when an unknown suspect(s) shot him in the torso. Unknown suspect(s) fled the intersection on foot. The Los Angeles Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. The victim has not been identified as investigators are still waiting for family to come forward. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to call OWB Homicide detectives at 213-382-9470. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247). Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
