Automated Photo Red Light Enforcement Program

What:
Announcing the activation of the photo red light traffic enforcement camera within Operations-West Bureau (OWB). This is the sixth activation within OWB (23rd in the City) with a new PRL monitoring system, which records vehicle license plates that run red lights. In the near future, 9 additional locations will be outfitted with comparable machinery, totaling 32 intersections Citywide.

Intersection of Manchester Avenue and Airport Boulevard.

Why:
The Los Angeles Police Department has new automated enforcement cameras at the intersection of Manchester Avenue and Airport Boulevard. The news conference will highlight the system’s capabilities and advise the motoring public of its existence.

DVDs from the equipment manufacturer will be distributed to the media at the conclusion of the news conference. The DVD details the features of the new system.
