Transportation Security Administration Employee Arrested NR11290bb
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police (LAPD) and the Los Angeles World Airport Police (LAWA) joint Crime Task Force arrested a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employee for burglary.In early June, 2011, the LAX Crime Task Force began an investigation into thefts occurring at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The Crime Task Force, working in conjunction with the LAX TSA, developed information that identified 37-year-old Paul Yashou, as a primary suspect.
On June 23, 2011, Yashou was arrested by members of the LAX Crime Task Force for Burglary. His bail has been set at $20,000.
The LAX Crime Task Force is a joint investigatory endeavor of the Los Angeles World Airport Police and the Los Angeles Police Department, LAX Field Services Division.
Randy Parsons, the TSA LAX Federal Security Director stated: “TSA has a zero tolerance for theft and will work with authorities to hold our employees accountable. TSA will assist in prosecuting any employee caught violating the public trust to the fullest extent of the law.”
