LAPD Pacific Detective Division Arrest three Burglary Suspects NR14185wr

Los Angeles: On May 2, 2014, three male suspects illegally entered a residence in the Westchester area of Los Angeles.  The suspects were surprised by the homeowner and fled from the location.  Later that evening, the same suspects entered another nearby residence through an unlocked door, where they stole several items.

With the concerted efforts of Los Angeles Unified School Police and most importantly with assistance from community members throughout Pacific Area, Detectives were able established the suspect identities.

On May 9, 2014, Detectives arrested the original three suspects and one additional suspect, who admitted to committing additional unrelated burglaries in Pacific Area.  Search Warrants were served at the suspects residences and stolen property was recovered.

The Los Angeles Police Department along with Pacific Area’s social media and community meeting outreach has always emphasized the importance of police and community partnerships in relation to crime prevention and in this case, solving crimes.

Pacific Area applauds our communities’ involvement; and in an ongoing effort to reduce the fear and incidents of crime and continues to recommend its residents remain vigilant, report suspicious activity in their communities and always lock your doors and windows.  Community members are urged to become involved with Neighborhood Watch groups, Neighborhood Councils and other community groups.  Information for community organizations in your area can be obtained by calling Pacific Area Community Relations Office at 310 202-2890.
