		James West Captain I Pacific Area email

Captain James West is the Commanding Officer of Pacific Patrol Division, which covers approximately 25 square miles and incorporates the Los Angeles International Airport, Venice Beach and other unique locations.

He joined the Department in October 1989 and has worked a variety of assignments from Office of Operations to Counter-Terrorism and Criminal Intelligence Bureau.

Captain West has a postgraduate studies degree in National Security Studies and he is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy.
