The Records Section maintains files on all permitted businesses and has direct access to the City's Tax and Permit System. Records Section personnel also maintain liaison with the State of California Department of Justice, Detectives from the Pawnshop Section, Burglary Auto Theft Division and Detectives from the Gun Unit, Detective Headquarters Division to coordinate permit investigations conducted by those entities.
