The written tests for the LAPD is offered several times a week.The test is free and you do not need to sign up in advance. Before you go, you must first fill out the online Preliminary Background Application and Job Preliminary Questionnaire. Please plan to be at the test site for at least 3 1/2 hrs. NOTE: Effective Saturday, July 12, 2003, Saturday testing will no longer be held at the Police Academy. On July 12, 2003, and every Saturday (except holiday weekends) hereafter, testing will be held at 8:00 am at the following location:

Park Advisory Board for MacArthur Park- 2nd Tuesday of every month. Come in and visit the Signal building on the north side of the park. It is headquarters for Parks and Recreations. Upcoming cultural and senior events will be held there.
