Monday, February 14, 2000

"Murder Suspect at Large"



Los Angeles - On February 13, 2000 at approximately 11:15 p.m., the victim, a Male Hispanic 25 years old, was standing in the parking lot of a Los Angeles nightclub " Los Globos" located at 3020 W. Sunset Blvd. The suspect a Male Hispanic, 24-25 years old, 5'6", 150 lbs, wearing dark clothing, approached the victim and a few words were exchanged. The suspect then produced a handgun and shot the victim multiple times, The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to U.S.C. Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Victim was pronounced dead at 11:50 p.m.. The victims identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.

The suspect and the weapon remain outstanding at this time and the crime is believed to be gang-related.

The Rampart Homicide Detectives are handling the investigation and are seeking the publics help in the identity and capture of the murder suspect. For further information contact Media Relations Section at 213-485-3586.
