Family Pleads for Suspects to Come Forward What: News Conference to ask the public’s help in locating suspects involved in a gang-related shooting that resulted in a 9-year-old girl being shot in the head last night. When: December 21, 2006 4 PM Where: Rampart Detective Division 303 S. Union Avenue Los Angeles Who: Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa Councilman Ed Reyes Assistant Chief Jim McDonnell Family of injured victim Captain Jose Perez Rampart Detectives Why: The 9-year-old girl was shot after gang members confronted each other across the street from the girl’s home, last night, around 8:30 PM. Photos of the victim and wanted suspects will be displayed. The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition. The victim’s family originated from Thailand, but the father speaks English.
