Why:
Every year, hundreds of Los Angeles's citizens become the victims of property crimes,which include grand theft auto, burglary from motor vehicle and simple theft.Rampart Area Command would like to invite the news media to participate in a pressconference which will focus on educating the public on ways to prevent becoming victims of property crimes.
The Rampart Area Command will cover the topics of grand theft auto and burglary from motor vehicle prevention. In addition, displays will be set up in the CommunityRoom depicting photographs of items in vehicles that are an invitation to thieves. Rampart Area will be deploy crime suppression details starting at 3:00 p.m. which will include all divisional resources such as Vice, GED (Gang Enforcement Detail),
CLEAR (Community Law Enforcement and Recovery Unit), Narcotics, Senior Lead Officers, Central Traffic Motors and General Service Police Department.
A Roll call for the crime prevention detail will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Rampart Area roll call room. The media is invited to the briefing.
