One Killed, One Injured During Shooting at MacArthur Park NR09464ah
Los Angeles: One man was fatally shot and another wounded during a shooting in MacArthur Park on September 21, 2009.
The shooting was reported shortly after 10:30 a.m. at MacArthur Park near 6th and Alvarado Streets. According to witnesses, two suspects walked up to the victims. One of the suspects pulled out a handgun from his waistband, opened fire on both victims and ran.
Ramon Araujo, 32, died at the scene, and the other victim was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
Detectives have few leads and there is no suspect description.
