LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
SEPTEMBER 23, 1998
What:
The Los Angeles Police Department, Southwest Area and Hollywood Billiards will be hosting a Celebrity Billiards Tournament in honor of slain Police Officer Filbert Cuesta. All proceeds from the fund-raiser will be given to the Cuesta family.

When:
Saturday, November 14, 1998, beginning at 7:00 PM and ending at approximately 2:00 am.

Where:
Hollywood Billiards
5750 Hollywood Blvd.
Los Angeles, Ca 90028

Why:
On August 9, 1998 Los Angeles Police Officer Filbert Cuesta was killed in the line of duty. The death of Officer Cuesta left his widow with two very young children and a huge financial burden. Tickets to the event cost $25.00 for adults and children 12 and under are free. Tickets are available at all ticketmaster locations. If anyone is interested in playing the cost is $250.00 and you can enter in person at Hollywood Billiards. The Tournament format is partners (with celebrity) double elimination nine-ball tournament. There will also be a silent and/or live auction of celebrity memorabilia and sports memorabilia. The master of ceremonies is former KZLA disc jockey Shawn Parr.

Celebrities committed to date are Brian Austin Green, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Michael Dudikoff, Don Diamont, Shemar Moore, Darius McCrary, Chad Everett, James B. Sikking, Ron Perlman, Matt Craven and many more.
