Head-on Collision Kills Motorcyclist

Sunday, September 10, 2000



"Head-on Collision Kills Motorcyclist"

Sunland: On September 10, 200, at approximately 2:25pm, a 62 year old Resident of Sylmar, Ca., was riding his motorcycle westbound on Big Tujunga Boulevard about a half mile east of Mount Gleason Avenue. He collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle being driven by an unlicensed, 17 year old female resident of Burbank, Ca. The female was driving on the wrong side of the road for reasons unknown at this time. The motorcyclist died at the scene.

The 17 year old female was arrested and booked for Manslaughter. Her name will not be released due to her age.

The victim will not be identified pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation is being conducted by Valley Traffic Division Detectives who can be reached at 818-756-8391.
