"Shooting Leaves One Dead, but No Clues"

Los Angeles: On September 17, 2000, at approximately 2:21pm, officers assigned to Southeast Area responded to a report of shots fired at 10622 South Gorman Avenue. Upon arrival officers discovered the victim, a male Hispanic, approximately 21 years of age, down at the rear of the location suffering from a single gunshot wound. Paramedics of the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim dead at 2:35pm.

Witnesses could provide no information other than hearing gunshots and no motive for the shooting has been established.

The name of the victim will be provided when positive identification has been completed.

Southeast Area Homicide Detectives are conducting the investigation and can be reached at 323-789-1493.
