"Elderly Man Found Dead Inside His Parked Vehicle"

 

Foothill: On Saturday, September 1, 2001, at 12:12 P.M., Foothill Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of an "ADW/Shots Fired" in the 10200 block of Lev Avenue. Upon arrival the officers observed the body of a man seated in the drivers seat of a parked vehicle. The man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and was pronounced dead by responding paramedics.

The victim has been identified as Epifiano Cruz, a 68 year old resident of Sun Valley.

No suspect(s) have been identified and no motive has been established at this time.

Foothill Area Detectives are handling the investigation and are asking the public for assistance. Anyone with information is asked to call 818-834-3115 or 834-3110 during daytime hours. After hours the number to call is 818-756-8861.
