77th Street Detectives Investigate Homicide on 60th Street

"77 Street Detectives Investigate Homicide on 60th Street"

 

Los Angeles: On Saturday, September 15, 2001, at approximately 2:30 A.M., Officers from 77th Street Patrol responded to 1601 West 60th Street, Los Angeles, for a Death Investigation. Upon their arrival, they met Los Angeles Fire Department Personnel who had also responded. The officers were advised that the victim, Jason Esquite Flores, age 20, had been pronounced dead at 2:28 A.M. Mr. Esquite Flores had been found on the sidewalk adjacent to 1601 West 60th Street and appeared to have been shot. The preliminary investigation revealed the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to his head.

The motive for this crime is unknown.

The suspect or suspects and the weapon used remain outstanding

77th Street Homicide Detectives Charles Tizano and Michelle Esquivel-Solis are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information concerning this incident is requested to call 77th Street Homicide at 213-485-1385 or after hours, the Department Command Post at 213-485-2504.
