Los Angeles: On Saturday, September 15, 2001, at approximately 10:15 P.M., a 39-year-old female was shot and killed inside her residence at 1128 E. 28^th Street. She was living at the location with Charles Childs, age 47. They became involved in an argument and Childs shot her one time in the head and then called for an ambulance.

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead on arrival. Offices arrested Mr. Charles Childs at the scene without incident. He was booked for Murder. The murder weapon, a semi-automatic pistol, was recovered at the location.
