Wilshire Detectives Conduct Homicide Investigation

"Wilshire Detectives Conduct Homicide Investigation"

 

Los Angeles: On Sunday, September 23, 2001, at approximately 3:40 A.M., the victim, identified as 29 year old Donald Frank, was standing on the sidewalk in the 5400 block of Wilshire Boulevard. Unknown suspect(s), for unknown reason, began shooting from across the street.

The victim was struck several times by the gunfire. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported Mr. Frank to a local hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The motive for the shooting is unknown. The suspect or suspects and the weapon used remain outstanding.

Wilshire Area Detectives are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information that may assist in this investigation is urged to contact Wilshire Detective K. Cooper and N. Hernandez at 213-473-0444, or after 5:00 PM, the Patrol Watch Commander at 213-485-4022.
