LAPD Hollywood Area Salutes 9-11 Heroes

Flag Raising Ceremony

Hollywood Area Community Police Station, 1358 N. Wilcox Ave., L.A. 90028

Los Angeles: Hollywood Area Community Police Station will be having a flag raising ceremony in the south parking lot of Hollywood Station. The ceremony will commemorate and pay honor to those who were killed in the Terrorist Attacks on the World Trade Center, The Pentagon and Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania. The ceremony will also honor the men and women in our armed forces. Many Los Angeles Police Officers who are Military Reservist have been called to active duty, this ceremony will recognize these Officers and their sacrifices to our Nation and our City.
Members of the 23rd United States Marine Corps Honor Guard will attend the ceremony and will render honors to the raising of the American Flag.
A lone bagpiper will attend the ceremony and a playing of Amazing Grace will follow the flag raising.
