Los Angeles: Hollenbeck Homicide Detectives are investigating the gang related shooting death of 18 year-old Jesus Gonzalez, which occurred in front of his residence, located at 1129 Prado Street in Los Angeles.

On Tuesday, September 17, 2002, at approximately 3:30 a.m., the victim was standing in the front yard when an unknown suspect or suspects approached on foot and fired three to four gunshots, striking him in the upper torso. The suspects fled the location in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to USC Medical Center for emergency medical treatment. the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
