"Community Is Invited To Mounted Unit Open House"

What:
LAPD Mounted Unit Open House

When:
Saturday, September 28, 2002, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Where:
3934 Rigali Street, In The Atwater Village Area, Adjacent To Griffith Park

Los Angeles: The public is invited to attend a special event showcasing the LAPD Mounted Unit as well as other items of interest.

Of special interest to parents will be the Bio-ID 2000 Fingerprinting/Photo system and parents are encouraged to have their children photographed and fingerprinted during the day.

Demonstrations will begin at 11:00 a.m. and those attending will be able to see and talk to members of the Bomb Squad, Dive Team, Swat Team, Metro K-9, Narco K-9, Historical Society, California Highway Patrol , Los Angeles Fire Department, Traffic Safety, and Dare.

In addition, members of the Los Angeles Police Department Recruitment Unit will be on hand to provide information on career opportunities, including the Reserve Program and the Explorer Program.

This will be an excellent opportunity to highlight the LAPD and its’ Community Policing efforts to the diverse Los Angeles community.
