"Man Shot Dead in Nickerson Gardens Housing Developments"

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 24-year old male.

On Friday, September 27, 2002 at approximately 5:00 a.m., Los Angeles resident Marcus Johnson was shot to death inside an apartment located on the 1400 block of east 111th Place. The suspect, described only as a Black male, fled the incident scene on foot.

Johnson died at the scene. The motive is unknown at this time and no weapon was recovered.
