13 Year-Old Missing

Los Angeles: 77th Area Detective’s are requesting the media’s assistance in locating a 13 year-old child who left her residence, and has not been seen since.
On September 4, 2003, at about 7:00 a.m., 13 year-old Sara Maria Chavez left her residence located in the 5200 block of South Wilton Place. Sara Maria left her place of residence to go to school. When her mother went to pick her up, she was advised by school officials that she never attended school. Concerned for her daughter’s safety, Sara Maria’s mother immediately notified police.
The investigation revealed that Sara Maria may have runaway with another resident at the address. The suspect, Ramiro Arellano, who is described as a 21 year-old, male Hispanic, may have an ongoing relationship with Sara Maria and they possibly intend to flee the country together to Mexico.
