"Thirty Eight Year Old Man Shot Dead in Front of His Home"

 

Los Angeles: On Sunday, September 14, 2003 at 4:15 p.m., 38 year-old Fernando Barclay was standing in front of his residence in the 300 block of North Cummings Street. A male Hispanic, 20-25 years of age approached Barclay and a conversation ensued. During the conservation the suspect who was armed with a handgun shot Barclay several times. Barclay collapsed on the sidewalk in front of his home. The suspect continued walking southbound towards Michigan Street then out of sight.

Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to USC Medical Center for emergency treatment. The victim failed to respond to treatment and died as a result of his injuries.
