Catering Truck Crashes Into Home, Leaving One Dead

Los Angeles: West Traffic Detective's are investigating the fatal death of 49 year-old Arturo Diaz, a resident of North Hollywood.

On Monday, September 22, 2003, at about 10:05 a.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred in the 2900 block of Deep Canyon Drive. Arturo Diaz was driving a 1987 Chevrolet, Custom catering Truck west bound Hotton Drive, when he ran off the road into a residents home in the 2900 block of Deep Canyon Drive. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the crash and pronounced Diaz dead at scene.

The passenger in the catering truck, 42 year-old Alicia Arredondo, was transported to a local hospital where she received treatment for the injuries she sustained in the collision. The cause of this collision is undetermined and currently being investigated.
