Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Chief William J.
Bratton is celebrating the success of the Community Safety Initiative a
community-police partnership program that is dedicated to reducing crime and
improving the quality of life for businesses and residents.
The partnership between the Dunbar Economic Development Corporation, the
Los Angeles Police Department, City Attorneys Office and various other local
entities is dedicated to forming and utilizing innovative programs and crime
prevention strategies.
The Community Safety Initiative is a national program that builds long
term partnership between law enforcement and community organizations. Since
it’s inception in December 2001, the program is responsible for reduction in
crime and arrest in the target areas
