"News Conference Scheduled to Announce $50,000 Reward for Information Leading to Apprehension and Conviction of Major Assault Suspects"

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department, Southeast Major Assault Crimes Detectives are investigating the brutal assaults of 18 year-old Martin Davidson and 61-year old Douglas King.

On July 16, 2004, at about 9:00 p.m., Douglas King was in the area of 1532 E. 104th Place. He was brutally attacked and beaten by unknown suspect(s). The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was in a state of coma until recently.

On July 25, 2004, at about 11:00 p.m., Martin Davidson was in the area of 107th and Figueroa Streets. He was brutally beaten by unknown suspect(s) for an unknown reason. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was also in a coma until recently.

The Los Angeles City Council is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these assaults. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective R. Rodriguez, Southeast Major Assault Crimes, at 213-485-6902.
