Home Invasion Robbers Arrested

Los Angeles: On August 24, 2004, at about 2:00 p.m., a Home Invasion Robbery occurred at 1348 West 85th Street. The victim, 53 year-old Thelma Crooks, was ordered into her house at gunpoint by a female suspect. Once inside the residence, two male suspects entered the residence and tied up the victim. The suspects savagely beat the victim prior to taking her money, jewelry and a safe from the home. The suspects also stole the victim's car.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment for multiple injuries suffered during the robbery.

Update: Information from the concerned community, in support of the victim, resulted in the identification of 28 year-old Ray Young. Young the most violent suspect was arrested on September 22, 2004. Most of the victim’s jewelry was recovered at the residence where Young was arrested.

On September 23, 2004, 21 year-old Raynetta Green, identified as the female suspect involved in the robbery, was arrested. Green is the sister of Ray Young.

The third suspect involved in the robbery has been identified as 23 year-old Ferrari Busby. There is a felony arrest warrant for Busby for Home Invasion Robbery. A photograph of the suspects will be provided at the news conference.
