LAPD Academy Graduation of 51 New Officers

LAPD Academy Graduation of 51 New Officers

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa
Police Commission President John W. Mack
Police Commissioner Shelley Freeman
Chief William J. Bratton
Police Department Command Staff

Why:
Graduating officers have completed 1,035 hours of training over the course of 32 weeks.  There are 39 males and 12 females in the class.

Additionally, three lateral officers will graduate with the regular recruit class.  These lateral officers, two males and one female, are experienced peace officers who have joined the LAPD after serving with various other California law enforcement agencies.

Chief Bratton will inspect the class.
