Softball Coach Arrested for Child Molestation

Los Angeles: A softball coach, who has been coaching children for over ten years in the Wilmington and San Pedro area, was arrested for child molestation.  On September 28, 2005, at about 10:30 PM, 58-year-old Marco Antonio Espinoza was booked at LAPD's 77th Street Jail. 

Today, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charged Espinoza for numerous counts of Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child for a total of five victims, ages ranging from 12 to 17 years of age.

Espinoza has been a softball coach for traveling softball teams since mid 1990s.

Espinoza is being held on a $1,000,000.00 bail.

The Harbor Area Sexual Assault Unit is handling the investigation.
