Traffic Safety Campaign Slow Down for Julia

Why:
Now that school is back in session, the LAPD will be teaming up with Councilmember Rosehdahl, community leaders, parents, and students to raise awareness of pedestrian and vehicle safety. 13-year-old Julia, was a student at Harvard Westlake School and was killed while  crossing the same intersection where the “Slow Down for Julia” campaign is being launched.  Her tragic death highlights the importance of driver and pedestrian safety. Flyers with safety information will be handed out to motorists beginning at 6 a.m.
