Home Invasion Suspect Is Shot by Victim NR14344lp

Van Nuys:  Los Angeles Police Department Van Nuys Division detectives responded to a shooting call and found that the owner of the house had shot a suspect identified as Grachia Nalbanyan.

On Monday, September 16, 2014, around 11:10 p.m., Grachia Nalbanyan a 25 year old Glendale resident entered the victim’s home. The homeowner confronted Nalbanyan and shot him with a handgun after Nalbanyan attacked the victim. Nalbanyan was arrested for 245 PC Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Nalbanyan is currently on Federal Probation for possession of firearms.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported Nalbanyan to a local hospital. Nalbanyan was cleared for booking and was transported to the County Jail where he will continue to receive treatment for his injury.
