Why:
Coming to the close of the 2014 year of traffic, the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division embarked on an outreach and awareness campaign to provide information regarding traffic safety.  This campaign focuses on the reduction of several categories of serious and fatal traffic collisions throughout the city.  An overall department traffic plan was implemented to provide education and awareness, as well as redistribute resources in an effort to reduce the number of pedestrian, bicycle, hit & run and distracted driver incidents.

Central Traffic Division has been tasked with the education outreach strategy for the department’s 2014 traffic plan to provide education and awareness.  Central Traffic Division has established a video production unit that will produce three traffic safety public service announcements that will be made available to various traditional and social media outlets.

On the above dates and times, Central Traffic Division’s Video Production Unit will begin It’s first phase of three public service announcements.  Providing their talent for the public service announcements are actors Reno Wilson, Anne-Marie Johnson and Esai Morales.  These first two days of production will be shot on location near East Temple Street and North Vignes Street.
