Robbery of Catering Truck Caught on Tape
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying three suspects who committed armed robbery of a catering truck.
On August 13, 2009, at around 2:35 a.m. employees aboard a catering truck parked near Avalon Boulevard and Gage Avenue were preparing to close for the night when they were taken by surprise. A man armed with a semi-automatic handgun forced his way into the truck and demanded money. A second suspect then entered and removed property from each employee. A third suspect forced a customer inside the truck. Although the victims complied with the suspects’ demands, the suspects kicked one victim in the head as he was lying on the ground. One suspect used the gun to strike a victim in the head. None of the victims were seriously injured.
