Gunman Shoots Into A Crowd, Killing One

 
Los Angeles: On March 5, 2005, at about 1:45 a.m., 22-year-old Dwayne Brooks was at the Artesia Transit Yard located at 17400 South Vermont. Mr. Brooks was around a group of people when an unknown gunman fired several rounds towards the group and left the scene.
Mr. Brooks was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.
A second victim was shot and is listed in stable condition.
No suspect or weapon information is available.
