$50,000 Reward for Double Murder Suspect – Jan 6, 2000

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE Friday, September 8, 2000

San Pedro: The Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Area will be conducting a press conference on Friday, September 8, 2000 at 4:00 p.m. in front of Harbor Station, 2175 John S. Gibson Boulevard in San Pedro.

On Thursday, January 6, 2000 at approximately 11:35 p.m., Mr. Jonathan Logan, 22 years of age, Mr. Ulysses Scott, 32 years of age and additional person were sitting on the porch of a residence in the 500 West 15th Street when three male Hispanic suspects approached and engaged in a conversation. One of the suspects pulled out a firearm and shot both Mr. Logan and Mr. Scott. Both victims died from their injuries. The three suspects then fled the location.

The City of Los Angeles is offering a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the identity, arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for this incident.

Captain Michael Melton, Commanding Officer, Harbor Operations Support Division, Harbor Area Homicide Detectives will be present during the press conference.
