WHY:
This news conference is being held to provide information about the OIS that occurred on October 7, 2010 in Southeast Area. It is the Department’s goal to allay some of the concerns that have been expressed by some community members over the handling of the incident that led to the OIS. Though the investigation is in its infancy, Command Staff will be providing details not normally revealed this early in an investigation, in an effort to show good faith and dispel some of the misinformation that has been disseminated.
