WHY:   
The Office of The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Victim Assistance Program and The LAPD, Criminal Gang Homicide Division is hosting the 10th Annual Holiday Tree Trimming. The event is dedicated to families who have lost a loved one due to a violent crime. Families in attendance will decorate the tree with an ornament depicting their loved one.  Families in attendance also speak about their loss and console others.  This year’s event will have a Santa Claus to distribute gifts for the children in attendance
