Los Angeles:  One man was shot and killed Sunday morning, and another is being sought for his murder, in a shooting at a local strip club.

On April 1, 2012, around 1:40 a.m., Harbor Area Officers were called to a popular strip club in the 1600 block of West Pacific Coast Highway to investigate a shooting.  When they arrived they found a 27-year-old male Black suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he died a short time later.  His name is being withheld until his family can be notified.

Detectives believe a suspect, described only as a male Black, walked up and shot the man, but the motive remains a mystery.

After the shooting the suspect and most other club patrons left the location and detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Harbor Area Homicide Detectives, Detectives David Alvarez or Patty Batts at 310-726-7879, or 310-726-7889.  Anyone wishing to remain anonymous be do so by calling Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477) or by texting 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone.  All text messages should begin with the letters “LAPD.”  Online tips may be placed at www.LAPDOnline.org by clicking on “webtips” and following the prompts.
