2012 Celebration for Our Youth NA12277vh

What:             Holiday Event

When:            Saturday December 22, 2012
                       10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Where:           District 12 High School
                      8800 South San Pedro Street, Los Angeles
                         
Who:              LAPD Community Relations Office,
                      Jeopardy students
        
    
Why:    To host a special holiday event for Los Angeles Unified School District students in South Los Angeles.  This event will honor Southeast Jeopardy students for the academic success, perfect attendance and excellent behavior during the past semester.  Officers will treat students and their family to a barbeque lunch and a toy give away.

In efforts to bridge the gap between police and our youth we will also have a College Fair for high school students to obtain information from UCLA, Loyola Marymount, Cal State Los Angeles and Occidental College.  All grade levels are encouraged to attend to speak with Admission Counselors and learn what is needed to apply.
