Pedestrian Killed by Hit-and-Run Motorist NA13393cj

Los Angeles: LAPD South Traffic detectives are requesting the publics’ help in identifying the suspect responsible for the hit and run death of 19-year-old Djenaba Ejukwa Williams of Los Angeles.

On August 18, 2013, around 12:25 a.m., a motorist was traveling north on Central Avenue towards 120th Street, at an excessive speed and collided into Williams who was attempting to cross the street on Central Avenue against the “Don’t walk” indicator.  The motorist continued north on Central Avenue, failing to stop and render aid or to identify himself.  The impact of the collision caused the pedestrian to sustain life threatening injuries.  The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives’ investigation revealed the motorist was driving a later model Ford Taurus with a partial license plate number 6HCN1.  The motorist was described as a male Hispanic and was accompanied by a male Hispanic passenger.
