Man Shot Dead Standing Near Phone Booth

Los Angeles: On Sunday, December 28, 2003, at about 7:30 p.m., two men, (described as male blacks approximately 20 years of age) were standing together near a public telephone booth located on 43rd Street, between Vermont and Kansas Avenue. The suspects also described as two male blacks, no further description, approached the men and began shooting at them. One victim was fatally wounded and the second victim sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body.
The deceased male is described as a male black, 21 years of age. His next of kin has not been notified.
The motive appears to be gang related.
