Three Men Shot; Two Killed

Los Angeles: On Friday, March 14, 2003, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a group of young men were standing in front of the apartment building at 10412 South Figueroa Street. An unknown suspect approached the group and without warning, began firing a handgun towards the men. Three people were struck by the gunfire. The suspect fled the location on foot.
All three victims were transported to an area hospital. Two of the victims failed to respond to emergency medical treatment and were pronounced at the hospital. The third victim is in stable condition as a result of his gunshot wound.
The victims’ names are being withheld until their families have been notified. Both deceased men are in their early thirties.
