Los Angeles: Southwest Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the murder of 28 year-old Charles Henry Yarbrough Jr. which occurred on the 4000 block of Santo Tomas Drive on August 20, 2001 at approximately 8:25 p.m., Yarbrough was shot while standing at the location conversing with an unknown female. Mr. Yarbrough is a long time resident of the area and was employed as a construction worker.
On February 12, 2003 at 10:00 a.m., Southwest Homicide Detectives along with their commanding officers will conduct a press conference at the original crime scene. A $25,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspect will be offered during the press conference.
Los Angeles City Councilman Nate Holden made a motion for a $25,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspect who was responsible for this murder. Los Angeles City Council unanimously approved the reward.
Family and friends of the victim will be present during the press conference.
