Los Angeles: On Friday, November 9, 2001, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Southwest Area patrol officers were called to the scene of a stabbing in the 4000 block of Crenshaw Boulevard. Upon their arrival, they found a 22 year-old African-American female who had been the victim of a stabbing outside a donut shop. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the victim was an employee of the donut shop at the location, where she had been confronted by her ex-boyfriend, Eugene Lamar Addison. Outside the donut shop, Addison confronted the victim and began stabbing her in the face with an ice pick. A security guard at the location, saw the attack and went to the aid of the female employee.
