VICTIM: Lewis, Annette
Female Black, DOB: 8/26/55, 43-years-old

VICTIM: Branch, Percy
Male Black, DOB: 3/11/65, 34-years-old (Attempt Murder)

On Thursday afternoon, July 1, 1999, at approximately 1600 hours, the victim, Annette Lewis, 43 years old and victim Percy H. Branch, 34-years-old, were on the 4000 Block of Buckingham Road, Los Angeles. They were sitting on the north curb at the west driveway of the Santa Barbara Plaza. Unknown suspect(s) approached them on foot and without warning fired several rounds at Lewis and Branch. Lewis and Branch sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect(s) were last seen on foot fleeing northbound on Buckingham Road towards Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Lewis and Branch were transported to local hospitals. Lewis failed to respond to medical treatment and succumbed to her injuries at 5;19 pm at the hospital. Branch is listed in critical condition.

The suspect(s) and weapon remain outstanding. The motive is unknown
